Job Title: High-Level SharePoint Administrator (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Plain, WI

Pay Rate: $50 to $60 per hour on W2 with benefits


Work Environment:On-site (first two weeks), then primarily remote with occasional on-site visits

Important Note - Due to the need for being onsite early on we will be looking at local to the Plain, Wisconsin and the surrounding area for up to 100 miles.

Job Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire ((All 3rd Party Candidates will be rejected)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive High-Level SharePoint Administrator to oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of our Microsoft SharePoint environment. In this role, you will ensure system reliability, security, and usability across more than 100 SharePoint sites. You will also manage users, permissions, storage limits, system health monitoring, and perform regular backups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the SharePoint environment, including site collections, permissions, user access, storage management, and system updates.

  • Manage over 100 SharePoint sites to ensure consistent functionality, security, and user experience.

  • Monitor system health, performance, and usage, taking proactive steps to resolve issues.

  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Collaborate with business units to support their SharePoint needs, including creating or updating sites, workflows, and document libraries.

  • Enforce governance policies, security best practices, and compliance requirements.

  • Provide user support and training as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance SharePoint usage across the organization.

  • Stay current with SharePoint updates, features, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of SharePoint administration experience in a large, dynamic environment.

  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2019/2016 (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience managing site collections, permissions, security groups, and storage limits.

  • Expertise with system health monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

  • Proficient in backup and restore strategies within SharePoint.

  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, design, and governance.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft SharePoint Certification(s).

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration tasks.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and integrations.

Work Arrangement:

  • Initial On-Site Requirement: Full-time on-site for the first two weeks for onboarding and system familiarization.

  • Ongoing Work: Primarily remote, with occasional on-site visits as needed throughout the year.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
