Job Description

The Industrial Engineer devises methods to eliminate wasted time, energy, money, materials, and other commodities during production processes to streamline manufacturing operations, eliminate overall waste, facilitate efficient growth, and increase profitability. This position also develops further understanding of manufacturing methods by reviewing process flows, production schedules, and engineering specifications.

Other responsibilities include:



  • Determine how to manufacture products or deliver services with greatest efficiency
  • Establish management control systems for cost analysis and optimal budget planning
  • Execute quality control processes to resolve problems in production costs
  • Work with management, engineers, and customers to develop new standards for production
  • Ensure that products meet high quality standards by designing control systems for production planning
  • Communicate with vendors about purchases, managers about manufacturing capabilities, clients on product specifications, and team members on project statuses
  • Create models related to capacity and throughput for the purposes of determining optimum Capital investment
  • Work closely with the maintenance planner, parts supervisor and Engineering team to minimize maintenance cost, reduce downtime, as well as improve efficiency and reduce waste on production machines.
  • Develop permanent corrective actions for problem issues or projects to improve plant performance.
  • Maintain, adjust, edit and optimize all process settings on all manufacturing equipment to maximize production output and reduce downtime and waste on the equipment
  • Develop a center lining procedure and check sheet for all manufacturing equipment within the facility
  • Train Maintenance personnel on all printers and label makers
  • Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed.
  • Follow all required work safety procedures to include wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification
Qualifications include:


  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Field and Previous Industrial Engineering Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook & Visio
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD LT
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate well with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Sound mathematical skills
  • Formal Project Management training preferred
