Hourly Pay Range:

$35.38 - $54.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Lead Respiratory Therapist

  • Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL

  • Full Time | 40 hours/week

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 7pm - 7:30am, no weekends/holidays.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate the daily shift activities and provision of employee assistance in order to perform job functions.
  • Responsible for planning and organizing the daily shift activities of the Respiratory Therapy therapists and technicians. Ensures that department standards in patient care, departmental performance improvements and budgetary compliance are adhered to by staff.
  • Adjusts daily shift work assignments due to fluctuations in workloads, staffing and/or unexpected events.
  • Provides leadership, assists with assessments, and initiates orders according to the standards set by the patient assessment and protocol treatment program.
  • Provides assistance to staff by resolving problems with procedures and/or equipment.
  • Assists in resolving patient, physician and/or nursing complaints and reports all such incidents to the Department Director or designee.

What you will need:

  • Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.

  • Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association required. RRT, NALS, PALS and CPR certification, required.

  • License: Current State of Illinois DPR Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure, required.

  • Experience: Level 3 NICU experience, required.
