Process Compliance & Improvement Specialist - Hollywood, FL

Jet Avion Corporation is located at HEICO's corporate headquarters in Hollywood, Florida and specializes in the supply of various platforms of aircraft and engine PMAs. Our products and capabilities vary from cabin interiors to highly complex power plant and accessory parts.

ROLE: The Process Compliance & Improvement Specialist is responsible for maintenance of best practices for quality processes and procedures. This role works cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that regulatory and Quality Management System (QMS) compliance is maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Responsible for documentation and maintenance of QMS procedures.
• Conducts internal audits to determine compliance with QMS, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Participates with stakeholders to develop corrective or preventive actions and implementation.
• Works collaboratively within and across cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
• Other related duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Associates degree required

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Management Systems role.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in root cause corrective actions.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting internal audits.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the application of AS9100.

SKILLS:

• Must have a strong quality background and must be familiar with Quality Management Systems, such as AS9100/ISO9001.
• Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• A high attention to detail is required.
• Strong understanding of business function and cross group dependencies/relationships.
• Must thrive in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
• Must demonstrate an ability to easily create partnerships with internal customers.
• Self-starter, proactive, adaptable, and engaging approach.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:

• Language: English
• Computer Skills: MS Office proficiency required
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%.

They must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level, but may have some exposure to the manufacturing floor which has mid to high noise level with exposure to manufacturing machinery / equipment.
