As part of the naval architecture department, you will tackle new and evolving ship design and integration engineering challenges by applying naval architecture principles, techniques, calculations, procedures, and criteria. The projects executed within the team cover the full range of ship design phases from conceptual design through detail design, and post-delivery support. Your contributions will directly support the continued maturation of ship design solutions across all phases of design. Primary Responsibilities Gibbs & Cox, a Leidos Company, has an opening for a mid-Level Naval Architect to support the USCG Ship Design Team. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days per week of onsite support at the USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC. Support the USCG Ship Design Team at USCG HQ by applying naval architecture principles, techniques, calculations, procedures, and criteria.Key competencies include:
