Description

The
DMH + UCLA Prevention Center of Excellence (COE) is an innovative partnership
between the UCLA Semel Institute Division of Population Behavioral Health and
the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. The COE provides workforce
development, training, coaching, and consultation for providers in Los Angeles
County focused on addressing the challenges of adults, children, and families
at high-risk for mental health problems due to adversity, trauma, and loss.

We
are seeking a full-time Curriculum Developer to develop high quality and timely
training products for clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, and
mental health providers. Training products include training videos, slides,
manuals, protocols, and handouts appropriate for and accessible for our
providers. You will lead key informant interviews, listening sessions, field
observations, and focus groups. You will work closely with other curriculum
developers, trainers, and the training team to meet training deliverables and
goals.

Please note this is a 1-year contract position that may convert to career.

Salary range: $64,800/yr - $137,600/yr

Qualifications

Master's degree in a mental health related field (MA, MSW, MFT)

Demonstrated ability to develop training materials for
paraprofessionals, educators, and other providers

Knowledge of manualized psycho-educational training programs and
evidence-based interventions.

Knowledge of Los Angeles Department of Mental Health and other LA County
systems.

Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and practices
to include: multiple learning modalities, interactive training and learning
design, on-line/e-learning design principles, distance learning, instructor-led
training, self-paced instruction, and evaluation methods.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to
support trainees at a distance (via web-based and telephonic consultation)

Bilingual fluency in
English and Spanish (preferred)

Ability to communicate complex information to people with varying levels of
education and training and different learning styles.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint,
and Excel, and willingness to learn new computer-based systems for worksite
management.
