Third (Nights) (United States of America) Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is currently hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist to work a Full Time, 14-week assignment!
  • $70.00/hr
  • Eligible for $5000 Sign on Bonus living more than 50 miles from the facility working
  • NIGHT shift, 7pm-7am
  • 14-week assignment
  • No benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Other/National
  • Respiratory Therapist License - Virginia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Other/National
  • Clinical Respiratory Care experience - 1 year
  • ALD - Associate's Level Degree - Respiratory Therapy

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist builds upon the overall pulmonary management in identifying and implementing physician directed respiratory care interventions for an individual or a group of patients. Works cooperatively with nursing and other health care team members for professional respiratory care practice for all patients ranging in ages from neonates to adults in all clinical and ambulatory settings. Responsible for the appropriate age specific assessment and treatment of patients. May have access to, or oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of carrying out position duties.

Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.

State license, active NBRC RRT and BLS required at time of hire. For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.

ALD - Associate's Level Degree: Respiratory Therapy (Required), BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Respiratory Therapy (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Certification - National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), Respiratory Therapist License - State license - North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB), Respiratory Therapist License - State license - Other/National, Respiratory Therapist License - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) Clinical Respiratory Care
