Senior Audit Associate - Venture Capital

Summary:

The Senior Audit Associate plays a crucial role in leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and providing technical expertise and guidance to audit teams. This position is ideal for individuals who have gained significant audit experience and are ready to take on increased responsibilities in a collaborative and supportive environment. The Senior works more closely and consistently with clients than at any other level within the Firm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform venture capital audit engagement procedures including planning, risk assessment, internal controls, substantive testing, and other audit program steps
• Work closely and directly with clients
• Effectively project manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Communicate effectively with all team members
• Develop and apply technical expertise
• Facilitate work performed by team members to provide a high level of quality and service to clients
• Supervision and review of junior staff and their work
• Work with team members and other management staff to achieve the objectives of the department
• Develop strong lines of communication with clients and colleagues

Qualifications:

Must haves:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting
• Strong analytical aptitude and application
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe

Nice to have:

• Licensed CPA or working towards CPA licensure
• Experience auditing Venture Capital and/or Private Equity entities
• Experience with accounting software (We use CCH products; ProSystems and FX Engagement)

Compensation:

This role offers a competitive base salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. The anticipated salary ranges for this position are outlined below and are subject to change:

• $85,000 - $125,000
