Job Description

Liquibox is seeking an Account Manager to strengthen and grow relationships with existing customers across the Eastern U.S. This role is centered on building trust broadly across customer organizations, from day-to-day contacts to senior decision-makers, and protecting and expanding our business.

This is a regional account-management role covering the Eastern United States, focused on keeping and expanding a portfolio of Liquibox bag-in-box customers. The territory spans the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and parts of the Midwest and Ohio Valley. Liquibox's business is in an exciting period of transformation, and this role will play a direct part in strengthening customer partnerships and resolving service and quality issues as the business evolves.

You'll lead "keep and expand" activities within established accounts while identifying smaller regional growth opportunities. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to understand changing needs, solve problems, and connect Liquibox's bag-in-box products and capabilities to customer goals. The work is a balanced mix of growing and protecting existing accounts alongside developing new regional business.

This role is based out of Charlotte, NC, and Liquibox is open to supporting relocation for the right candidate.

What You'll Do:

  • Build strong, lasting relationships across customer organizations, engaging contacts at multiple levels and functions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each account's business, priorities, decision-making process, and needs.
  • Lead account plans focused on retaining existing business, strengthening customer partnerships, and expanding Liquibox's share.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow within current accounts, including new applications, locations, product needs, and customer stakeholders.
  • Find and develop smaller regional growth opportunities that align with Liquibox's capabilities and priorities.
  • Stay close to customer activity and industry developments to anticipate risks, surface needs, and recommend relevant solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address service, quality, supply, technical, and commercial matters; communicate clearly and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Support customer negotiations, proposals, pricing discussions, and business reviews in partnership with the appropriate internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, customer information, opportunities, and forecasts in the CRM.
  • Travel throughout the Eastern U.S. territory to meet customers, visit sites, and support business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in account management, sales, or another customer-facing commercial role.
  • A track record of building durable customer relationships and growing existing accounts.
  • The ability to earn trust across multiple levels of an organization, from operational contacts to senior leaders.
  • Strong listening, communication, negotiation, and follow-through skills.
  • A customer-minded approach to resolving issues and coordinating across teams.
  • Good business judgment and the ability to spot practical growth opportunities.
  • Strong organization and comfort managing a large, multi-state customer portfolio.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the Eastern U.S.
  • A high sense of commitment and ownership, with the ability to take responsibility for results through changing market or supply conditions.
  • A natural listener who builds trust and credibility quickly at all levels of a customer organization.
  • Professional and organized, with the ability to prepare clear agendas and set clear expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in packaging, food and beverage, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with bag-in-box packaging or applications.
  • Experience managing B2B accounts with complex stakeholder groups.
  • Experience using a CRM for account planning, opportunity management, and forecasting.

Why Join Liquibox:

  • Career visibility and potential for advancement, including direct engagement with senior leaders.
  • The opportunity to make a tangible impact during a significant business transformation.
  • A balanced mix of protecting and growing established accounts alongside pursuing new regional business.

Pay Transparency:

Base Compensation Range: $100,000 - 130,000 + Commission Opportunity
