Homebound Instructor

Job Overview

Provide a continuity of educational services to a variety of homebound/home-based students on a temporary basis.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintains and files accurate records of homebound instruction services rendered.
• Coordinates educational services with homebound contacts, classroom teachers, and parents.

Qualifications

Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.

Education

Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college

Experience

Experience as a classroom teacher

Licenses and Certifications

Holds or is eligible for a Virginia College Professional License

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Broad background of professional training and experience to adapt instruction to each student's need
• Able to adjust to varied home situations. Demonstrates a strong commitment, a high energy level, and a variety of skills for working with children and adults
• Ability to provide instruction in-person and virtually

Note:
Applicants are reviewed periodically. Interviews are extended periodically to qualified applicants based upon fluctuating program needs.

Salary Level: Banded Rates

Salary Scale: https://www.lcps.org/compensation

Salary Range: Band 17, $47.74
