Overview

Microsoft Business Operations (MBO) Operations Service Center (OSC) is seeking a governance and operations professional to help execute EEO's external resource governance strategy. This role is responsible for driving day-to-day governance activities across supplier management, contract compliance, spend controls, policy adherence, and reporting.

Working within a model of Central Discipline, Distributed Accountability, the role partners with business leaders across EEO to ensure external resource investments are governed consistently while budget ownership and delivery accountability remain within the individual business organizations.

The position serves as a trusted governance partner, providing the visibility, insights, controls, and enforcement mechanisms needed to improve compliance, strengthen supplier accountability, and drive disciplined management of external resource spend.



Responsibilities

Supplier Governance

  • Support supplier performance management and governance reviews.
  • Maintain supplier scorecards and action plans.
  • Track supplier commitments, risks, and remediation actions.
  • Facilitate governance and QBR processes.

Spend Management & Controls

  • Monitor XR spend and PO compliance.
  • Analyze actual versus forecast spend.
  • Identify spend anomalies and control gaps.
  • Track realization of productivity and savings initiatives.

Contract Governance

  • Review supplier engagements against governance standards.
  • Support contract renewal and expiration management.
  • Ensure adherence to approved commercial frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Legal, and Finance stakeholders.

Governance Reporting

  • Produce executive-ready dashboards, metrics, and insights.
  • Support monthly business reviews and forecasting cycles.
  • Maintain supplier governance documentation and records.
  • Escalate compliance, risk, and performance concerns.


Qualifications

Required

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience OR equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • 5+ years experience in supplier management, procurement, finance, business operations, audit, or governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with financial data and reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience managing vendor or outsourcing environments.
  • Understanding of contract and procurement processes.
  • Experience supporting governance or compliance programs.

Success Measures

  • Timeliness and accuracy of governance reporting.
  • Supplier review cadence adherence.
  • PO and policy compliance.
  • Visibility into XR spend.
  • Identification of savings opportunities.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of governance processes.


Process Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
