Job Description Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience and solving real-world business and manufacturing challenges? Gore is seeking motivated students to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program and support industrial engineering and manufacturing operations projects across our facilities in:
- Newark, Delaware
- Elkton, Maryland
- Phoenix, Arizona
- Flagstaff, Arizona
As a Gore intern, you will take ownership of a meaningful project that leverages the skills and knowledge you've developed through your academic studies. Throughout the internship, you'll collaborate with experienced Associates, build relationships across functions and facilities, and gain valuable exposure to Gore's unique culture and ways of working. In addition to project-based work, interns are encouraged to network with peers and Associates through organized social and professional development events designed to foster meaningful connections across the organization. - $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
- Factors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include, but are not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
What You'll Work On Internship projects may span a variety of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Operations disciplines, including:
- Manufacturing Execution
- Manufacturing Systems Support
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
- Value Stream Mapping
- Sales Operations
You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute across business, divisional, and functional teams, with an emphasis on supply chain and manufacturing operations support. Interns work closely with manufacturing, engineering, business, and information systems teams to identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational effectiveness across the enterprise. Throughout the experience, you'll gain insight into Gore's core values and collaborative culture while developing practical skills that support your future career. - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in one of the following fields:
- Industrial Engineering
- Industrial & Systems Engineering
- Industrial & Management Engineering
- Industrial & Operations Engineering
- Engineering Management
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Successful completion of at least sophomore year prior to the start of the internship.
- Intent to return to school following the internship.
- Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week summer internship.
- Foundational understanding of industrial engineering concepts such as time studies, process mapping, critical path identification, and workflow analysis gained through coursework, academic projects, or previous internships.
- Ability to adapt effectively to changing situations and priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, including the ability to communicate key insights and recommendations.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute effectively to team projects while leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and follow-through in meeting commitments.
- Strong interest in continuous learning, professional growth, and taking on new challenges.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, or operational excellence concepts.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including data storytelling and influencing diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to achieve results, overcome obstacles, and drive projects to completion.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across functions and teams to accomplish shared objectives.
