Class A Driver / Warehouse Associate
Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable Class A Driver / Warehouse Associate to operate an F-550 with a 40-foot gooseneck trailer and assist with warehouse operations as needed. This position is approximately 50% driving and 50% warehouse work, depending on business needs.

The driver will primarily transport pipe, valves, fittings, and related materials. Deliveries are local, with the farthest destinations generally within approximately one hour.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at minimum; Class A CDL preferred/required for applicable vehicle combinations.
  • Must have held a CDL for at least one year.
  • Must have at least one year of experience operating the class of vehicles they will be assigned to drive.
  • Must hold the required state-issued Non-Excepted Interstate (NI) self-certification designation and provide proof.
  • Minimum of 6 months of recent forklift and cherry picker experience.
  • Ability to operate trucks equipped with cameras.
  • Ability to use a delivery device to photograph completed deliveries while remaining logged into the device throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely work at heights of up to 20 feet.


Driving Responsibilities

  • Operate an F-550 with a 40-foot gooseneck trailer and other automatic vehicles as assigned.
  • Deliver materials according to the schedule provided by the supervisor.
  • Validate directions and plan delivery routes.
  • Properly secure all materials and ensure loads remain within applicable weight limits.
  • Unload or assist with unloading materials as required.
  • Obtain customer signatures and verify delivery tickets.
  • Take photographs of delivered materials using the company delivery device.
  • Pick up customer returns and verify that products match the request for credit.
  • Pick up local-purchase orders.
  • Secure and return packing lists and delivery documentation.
  • Verify that all materials have been unloaded and properly placed at the delivery site.
  • Review completed deliveries with the supervisor for accuracy and completion.
  • Return all delivery ticket copies to the warehouse and ensure no documentation is missing.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Comply with all applicable DOT standards, regulations, and company safety requirements.
  • Fuel the vehicle as necessary.
  • Immediately report vehicle problems, moving violations, accidents, and defects to the supervisor.


Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Assist with warehouse operations as business needs require.
  • Pull customer orders and tickets.
  • Put away and organize incoming stock.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift.
  • Operate a cherry picker.
  • Safely handle and move pipe, valves, fittings, and other materials.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by branch management.


General Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the supervisor throughout the workday.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and quality customer service.
  • Follow company uniform policies.
  • Follow all company policies, rules, regulations, safety procedures, and DOT requirements.
  • Support company programs, goals, and initiatives.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by branch management. Assigned responsibilities may vary based on branch size and operational needs.


CDL Classification

A Class A CDL permits the operation of combination vehicles, including vehicles with a semi-trailer or trailer with two or more axles. This includes combinations with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, when the towed vehicle has a GVWR exceeding 10,000 pounds, subject to applicable state and federal requirements.
