Position Summary:

The purpose of the Sales Support Strategist is to accelerate revenue growth within GC Pro's existing book of business by supporting sales execution and proactively driving upsell outreach. This role does not own a personal client portfolio; instead, it partners with GC Pro sales leadership and Account Managers to maximize current deal value, reduce friction in the sales cycle, and ensure consistent outbound activity and follow-up using Salesforce and standard GC Pro tools/processes.

Responsibilities / Duties

Outbound Upsell & Revenue Growth (Core Focus)

  • Execute proactive outreach campaigns to existing customers within the assigned Salesforce book of business to drive upsell, add-ons, renewals, and deal expansion (no independent client ownership).
  • Maintain a weekly outbound activity quota of 50 logged touches (emails/texts/calls) in Salesforce; ensure accuracy and completeness of activity logging and notes.
  • Identify upsell opportunities by reviewing open quotes, order history, product categories, installation/service lifecycle timing, and customer buying patterns; route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Manager(s).
  • Follow-up and follow-through on assigned opportunities to help move deals forward and prevent stalled quotes/orders, aligning to a "zero overdue quote pipeline" mindset.

Sales Process, Quote Preparation, Order, and Operational Support

  • Prepare quotes for Account Managers, including data entry, product sourcing, and validating accurate costs and pricing details.
  • Provide day-to-day sales support to Account Managers, including quotes, product support materials, order status updates, special orders, and general process coordination.
  • Track order progress from confirmed quote through final delivery of goods and services.
  • Validate purchase orders, shipping details, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor pipeline aging, quote status, vendor timelines, and order progression, escalating risks when needed.
  • Support customer account setup and maintenance, including A/R setup for qualified customers, documentation collection, and deal registration where applicable.

Inbound Routing, Communication, and Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Answer incoming sales inquiries and route to the appropriate GC Pro staff with clear, detailed information.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, retail store personnel, GC Pro teams, and corporate partners to ensure timely resolution and a strong customer experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (Retail, Support Center, Distribution, etc.) to remove blockers and support on-time execution.

Reporting & Cadence

  • Produce weekly activity reporting (outreach volume, results, pipeline impact, aging quotes, conversion outcomes) to Sales Leadership and/or Regionals; participate in weekly workflow meetings as assigned.
  • Maintain detailed daily/weekly reporting habits aligned to GC Pro sales expectations.

Additional Duties

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (sales support, sales operations, store operations support, customer service, inside sales, or coordinator roles).
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and standard business applications.
  • CRM Requirement: Demonstrated ability to work in a CRM (Salesforce preferred) with disciplined logging, tasking, and reporting.
  • Industry/Product Knowledge: Basic-to-intermediate familiarity with musical instruments and/or pro audio/video/lighting terminology preferred.

  • Execution & Accuracy: Detail-oriented order/quote support; strong follow-through and documentation discipline.

  • Organization & Prioritization: Able to manage multiple active workflows and competing deadlines.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborative approach supporting Account Managers and Sales Leadership while maintaining urgency and accountability.
  • Data/Reporting Discipline: Comfortable tracking activity and outcomes, preparing weekly updates, and maintaining pipeline hygiene.

Key Success Indicators

  • Weekly outbound activity: 50 logged touches (emails/texts/calls) in Salesforce.
  • Upsell opportunity generation and conversion contribution (qualified handoffs, revenue influenced, attach-rate/add-on growth).
  • Quote health: reduction in overdue quotes / stalled pipeline; improved follow-up timeliness.
  • Order accuracy and cycle-time support (reduced rework, fewer missing details, improved customer updates).

Pay Rate:$48,000-$65,000/yr depending on background and experience.
