Responsibilities
The Manager, Financial Accounting & Analysis is responsible for overseeing the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of the Company's general ledger across a multi-entity environment. This role leads the balance sheet reconciliation function, drives root cause analysis of financial discrepancies, and implements process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process across all entities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
- Establish and enforce reconciliation standards, documentation requirements, and review procedures
- Lead the investigation of complex discrepancies, including historical issues and current-period variances
- Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring errors
- Review and approve journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Prioritize and manage workload across the team, balancing historical cleanup efforts with ongoing financial accuracy
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including senior and intermediate team members
- Partner with AP, AR, payroll, and operational teams to improve transaction accuracy and reduce mis-postings
- Collaborate with IT and finance leadership to improve ERP system functionality, data integrity, and reporting capabilities
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and reduce manual effort
- Support audit readiness, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and coordination with external auditors
- Monitor and report on key issues, risks, and progress related to balance sheet integrity
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and multi-entity environments.
- Prior experience leading or supervising accounting teams preferred
- If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting in a multi-entity environment
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of complex issues
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong understanding of accounting systems and ERP platforms (experience with D365 preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across accounting, operations, and leadership teams
- Ability to drive process improvements and enforce standards
The expected pay range for this role and location is $135k - $170k/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
