The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for developing and managing the U.S. Retail Jeep Brand demand (sales/production) forecast and providing production mix recommendations. This position plays a key role in the monthly Supply & Demand (S&D) process by translating retail demand signals into actionable volume and mix recommendations while managing inventory levels, order fulfillment, and vehicle launch readiness. The role serves as the primary liaison between Jeep Brand, Demand Planning and Supply Chain Management to ensure our monthly plans are aligned to market conditions, production constraints, and business objectives. Key Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Lead brand demand reviews within the S&D cycle and provide recommendations for executive approval
- Analyze sales trends, retail industry forecasts, market share performance, inventory levels, and days-of-supply metrics to determine future demand requirements
- Serve as the demand planning representative in program readiness, constraint management, order coverage, allocation, and launch planning discussions
- Create and submit production mix recommendations to align manufacturing output with retail demand and dealer orders while balancing between supply constraints, launch timing and program delays
- Evaluate ad-hoc planning scenarios that support monthly planning cycles, capacity evaluation and leadership decision-making
- Ensure planning assumptions and system outputs are aligned with approved business strategies
- Cross-Functional Collaboration partnering closely with: Platform Planning, Engineering, Brand/Product Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Sales & Marketing Teams
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Capacity Planning, Sales/Marketing or Inventory Management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Forecast modeling and demand planning techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- PowerPoint presentation development
- ERP / Supply Chain Planning systems (Kinaxis, SCP, SAP, or similar)
- Ability to work with large datasets and scenario modeling tools
- Presentation and executive communication skills
