The Portfolio Planning Manager is responsible for developing strategic analyses and business recommendations that maximize Stellantis market share, unlock new revenue opportunities, and improve profitability while optimizing investment. Success in this role requires the ability to transform complex data, market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence into clear, compelling stories that influence decision-making and drive action. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with creative problem-solving to identify opportunities that others may overlook.

The Portfolio Planning Manager must possess the technical competence to evaluate vehicle architectures, powertrains, and emerging technologies while challenging conventional thinking and developing innovative portfolio alternatives. The selected candidate will synthesize diverse inputs into concise, persuasive narratives and present recommendations to senior leadership across Brand, Product Design Office, Engineering, and Finance. These recommendations will support governance decisions and shape Stellantis' long-range product plans.

This role collaborates extensively with a broad network of internal and external partners, including Product Development, Architecture Engineering, Program Management, Design, Brand, Finance, and Market Intelligence teams. The Portfolio Planning Manager will be expected to bring together data, research, customer insights, and business considerations into a unified point of view that helps guide strategic decisions throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in departments such as: planning, brand, finance, vehicle development, or program management
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience
  • Ability to work within, as well as lead, cross-functional teams
  • Strong technical skills including

    • Strong understanding of dimensional rudders and ability to evaluate the alignment to customer requirements
    • Comprehension of VisBoMs (Visual Bill of Material) and ability to relate to associated investment
    • Familiarity with Stellantis vehicle architectures and experience with identifying synergies between programs to reduce costs and investment


  • Strong aptitude for formulating context, identifying patterns, developing, insights and implications, and delivering data driven alternatives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines and be available to support travel if required


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree with emphasis in Business, Finance, or Engineering
  • Possess solid PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Familiarity with automotive industry data analytics, marketing and/or market research
