Georgia Tech Office of Development (DEV)

Our fundraising team at Georgia Tech currently consists of more than 100 professionals who are focused on securing transformative philanthropy (major and principal gifts) to support the strategic priorities of the Institute and its colleges, schools, and programs, including Georgia Tech Athletics. For fiscal year 2024 (closed 6/30/2024), the Development team's efforts resulted in over $243 million in new gifts and commitments in support of Transforming Tomorrow: The Campaign for Georgia Tech which will secure more than $2 billion in new commitments and gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations. One of the most significant priorities within Transforming Tomorrow is ensuring access of the brightest undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to Georgia Tech, regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds. Job Summary

Provide services to donors related to their gifts to Georgia Tech, including acknowledgements, gift processing and recordkeeping. Record gifts with high level of accuracy and in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service for donors. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Donors, Office of Development management and staff, college/school management and staff and appropriate communications staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: same as above. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Provide excellent customer service to donors by accurate and timely gift processing and recordkeeping

Job Duty 2 -
Prepare gift acknowledgements and maintain accurate records

Job Duty 3 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Associate's Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requifted for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours degree in related (due to client shift schedules, project requiftements).

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in gift planning and accounting skills

Bachelor's Degree in related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five to six years of related experience required; experience in higher education advancement, a foundation, or other non-profit gift administration setting preferred
  • Knowledge of gift recording including pledges, planned and deferred gifts, and giving challenges IRS regulations as they pertain to charitable giving, and CASE, NACUBO, and FASB guidelines preferred
  • Working knowledge of fundraising Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software; Blackbaud CRM (BBCRM) experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, or oversee staff and to balance multiple priorities and deadlines within a large, complex, and dynamic organization
  • Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with donors, colleagues across the Institute, and Foundation staff
  • Ability to work responsibly and judiciously with confidential and sensitive donor and financial information at all times

Proposed Salary

Salary Range: $56,000 - $65,000 commensurate with education and experience.
