**This is a 2nd shift position (training on 1st shift initially for several months before moving into 2nd shift.)

Position Summary:

Performing assigned tasks as related to measurements of rubber components, using programmable optical measuring systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate measurements of complex molded rubber components using advanced programmable optical measuring systems.
  • Perform day-to-day metrology functions by following established standard operating procedures.
  • Interpret and apply metrology programs.
  • Additional responsibilities include all support tasks, processing all documentation, and preparing dimensional reports.

Must Have:

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with dimensional tolerance.
  • Ability to interpret and use engineering drawings/schematics while understanding and applying GD&T.
  • Understands the GR&R process and can perform GR&R studies without supervision
  • Experience with engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to determine the most appropriate measurement method based on part tolerances, and other GD&T.
  • Ability to produce dimensional reports, collect & analyze data, and understand statistical process control rules
  • Some knowledge of Measurement Systems Analysis.
  • Some experience with operation of semi-automated measurement equipment (Optical and/or laser) MicroVu and OGP systems.
  • Ability to interpret charts, graphs, and data.
  • Possess integrity, a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, a high degree of self-motivation, and a strong work ethic and the ability to function in a team environment.
  • Understanding of shop mathematics (basic math required and trigonometry, geometry preferred).
  • Excellent Communication skills (Oral and Written).
  • Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel).
  • Ability to use basic functions of Minitab software.

**Must be able to work through 3-6 months training for this position on 1st shift (645am-4pm) before moving to 2nd shift (245pm-11pm) going forward.

Good to have:

  • 1-3 Years' experience as a metrologist strongly preferred.
  • Initiative.
  • Computer literacy, eagerness to learn.

Pay Range: $24.50/hour depending on skills and experience.
