Salary Range: $96,089 - $177,069
Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Purpose/Objective:
The Head of Portfolio & Credit Administration will support the relationship between the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Commercial Administration, and Documentation staff, through advocacy, collaboration, and communication.
This role is responsible for fostering strong teamwork, driving process improvement, developing consistent processes; ensuring loan compliance; managing various tracking of portfolio reporting requirements; overseeing the workflow process for multiple commercial lending functions (Middle Market, Commercial Real Estate and Business Banking) within the region; working on credit underwriting, building strong relationships with departments across the bank; develop, support, and coach the administration staff; and foster a positive, professional and efficient work environment.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage a team of Commercial Credit Analysis and Commercial Administrative Portfolio Managers
* Oversee the coaching, mentoring, and development of the Commercial Credit Analysts and Commercial Administrative Portfolio Managers
* Develop the commercial credit analysts to improve consistency, standards and quality of commercial loan underwriting for new credit requests, amendments, modifications, renewals and waivers
* Proactively manage resources to support portfolio workflow including new loan requests and ongoing credit administration requirements in collaboration with relationship managers and the team leaders
* Underwrite new credit requests and modifications as needed
* Manage the team and oversee the process of tracking and reporting for: financial statement collection, Covenant Tests, Annual Reviews, and ensure electronic files are up to date with such information.
* Manage internal and external audits and oversee the tracking of any findings from the audit. Work with the RM, PM and Team Leaders to satisfy such findings.
* Establish a process that will provide checks and balances in Underwriting and Portfolio Management with the relationship managers and/or portfolio managers and teams leaders within the region
* Ensure commercial loan structures and underwriting comply with established polices and credit standards prior to appropriate approval
* Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in the field of Finance or Accounting preferred
Experience:
* 10+ years Commercial Credit and Portfolio Administration management and underwriting/analysis experience
* Ability to drive process improvement through developing procedures, job aids, and development documents
* Collaborative with strong leadership abilities, to influence and build relationships
* Depth and breadth of technical knowledge of commercial banking products and documentation
* Concrete understanding of credit compliance, policies and standards
* Practical skill and working knowledge of applicable bank systems, including, but not limited to: FIS; electronic file system; loan operating system, and Imaging systems.
* Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of software programs
