Inside the Role

The Daimler Truck Specialty Vehicles (DTSV) Corporate Quality Engineering Leader supports the deployment, execution, and continuous improvement of the DTSV Quality Management System (QMS). This role applies DTSV corporate quality standards, drives structured problem solving, and translates customer, field, and warranty data into actionable engineering and operational improvements under the direction of the DTSV Corporate Quality Manager.

The role also works closely with DTNA's Corporate Quality Management team, DTSV Operations Quality, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Aftermarket, and Customer Experience teams to ensure consistent application of quality systems, robust feedback loops, and long-term product and process reliability across the business unit.

Position offers a starting salary range of$104,000 - $133,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience.

What You Drive at DTNA

DTSV Corporate Quality Strategy & Governance

  • Support the execution of the corporate quality strategy aligned with DTNA & DTSV standards and initiatives.
  • Apply and maintain DTSV corporate quality policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Maintain enterprise quality KPI's, dashboards, and reporting for leadership.
  • Support ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards across DTSV operations.

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Support the execution, compliance, and continuous improvement of the DTSV QMS at the corporate and program level.
  • Support and execute document control, corrective/preventive action systems, and change management processes.
  • Introduce digital tools and analytics to streamline QMS visibility and performance.
  • Support the integration and application of DTNA Enterprise Quality System tools and processes at DTSV

Structured Problem Solving & Issue Management

  • Lead, coach and support the administration of structured problem solving (FRACAS, SPR, 8D, RCA) across DTSV functions
  • Provide support and oversight on case assignments, timeliness, escalation, and long-term- effectiveness of actions.
  • Support the integration of lessons learned into engineering standards, supplier requirements, and manufacturing best practices.

Quality Data, Analytics & Insights

  • Support the aggregation and analysis of enterprise quality, warranty, field, and customer data to identify systemic trends.
  • Develop corporate scorecards, predictive indicators, reports, and executive summaries for strategic action.
  • Deliver upstream feedback to engineering, supplier quality, and operations for defect prevention.

Warranty & Customer Experience Integration

  • Lead DTSV corporate level- warranty performance analysis and trend identification.
  • Partner with Customer Experience and Service organizations to interpret failure modes and customer feedback.
  • Support cross functional- initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and reduce systemic defects.
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, or related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering in automotive, commercial vehicles, or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, structured problem solving (FRACAS, 8D, RCA), APQP/PPAP fundamentals, and quality systems architecture.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross functional- initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Experience with warranty analytics, field quality, or customer satisfaction systems.
  • Proficiency with quality tools and platforms (e.g., FRACAS, Minitab, SAP, Tableau, QMS platforms).
  • Familiarity with Daimler systems (IMS, OWL, Shoptech, TBB AIMS).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and data visualization skills.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience
