Job Summary
The Class B Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials to customer locations while also supporting warehouse and yard operations. This role involves a combination of driving and hands-on warehouse tasks, with approximately 60% of time spent on deliveries and 40% supporting order pulling, staging, and inventory handling. Drivers operate automatic vehicles and must ensure timely, accurate deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for candidates who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong work performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customer locations according to scheduled routes and timelines
• Operate Class B vehicles, including flatbed trucks, in a safe and compliant manner
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Load, secure, and unload materials while ensuring proper handling and weight compliance
• Obtain customer signatures and verify delivery documentation for accuracy
• Communicate with supervisors regarding delivery status, delays, or issues
• Pick up returns and verify materials against documentation
• Assist with warehouse operations, including pulling and staging orders, stocking, and unloading freight
• Support counter sales and general yard operations as needed
• Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and company safety policies
• Fuel vehicles and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned equipment
• Represent the organization professionally while providing quality customer service

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience driving Class B vehicles
• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
• Minimum of 1 year of sit-down forklift experience
• Valid state-issued self-certification designation (non-excepted interstate)
• Ability to operate a smartphone for communication and navigation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery procedures
• Ability to lift and handle materials as required
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Experience

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience required
• At least 1 year of warehouse and forklift experience required
