Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused CDL Class B Driver to operate automatic 10-wheel flatbed trucks, 6-wheel flatbed trucks, and F250 pickup trucks for the delivery of fire sprinkler materials including pipe, valves, and fittings. Delivery routes may vary daily, with some routes extending up to approximately three hours away. When deliveries are not scheduled, the driver will assist with warehouse operations including pulling and staging orders, receiving inventory, and wrapping skids. This role requires safe driving practices, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to support warehouse functions as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles and pickup trucks to deliver materials to customer locations
Deliver materials according to scheduled delivery times provided by management
Validate delivery directions and maintain communication with supervisors throughout the workday
Load, unload, or assist with unloading materials as required
Ensure all materials are properly secured and transported within legal weight limits
Obtain customer signatures on delivery documentation and verify accuracy of delivery tickets
Pick up customer returns and verify products match return documentation
Pick up local purchase orders and return packing lists as required
Verify all materials are unloaded and properly placed at delivery sites
Review completed deliveries with supervisors for accuracy and completeness
Return all delivery documentation to the warehouse and confirm no paperwork is missing
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards
Fuel vehicles as needed and report vehicle issues, accidents, or moving violations promptly
Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times
Assist with warehouse duties including pulling orders, staging materials, receiving inventory, and wrapping skids
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
Support additional operational duties as assigned by management
Work overtime as needed based on business demands
Job Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
Must maintain the required state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification designation and provide proof
Minimum of one (1) year experience operating the class of vehicle assigned
Minimum of one (1) year holding a CDL license
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Comfortable using smartphones and mobile communication tools
Ability to safely operate automatic flatbed trucks and pickup trucks
Ability to lift, move, and handle delivery materials safely
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to assist in warehouse operations when deliveries are not scheduled
Ability to comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards
