Job Summary

The Project Controls Specialist supports Project Managers by providing scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting for assigned projects. This role is responsible for maintaining project controls systems, tracking performance, and ensuring accurate forecasting of project costs and timelines. The position plays a key role in supporting project execution through data analysis, reporting, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities



  • Support Project Managers with project controls activities including scheduling and cost tracking
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and/or cost tracking tools
  • Generate reports and respond to data requests related to project performance
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to obtain weekly and monthly schedule and cost updates
  • Assist in project forecasting and analysis of expenditures
  • Track project progress and identify variances in cost or schedule
  • Maintain accurate project data and documentation
  • Support continuous improvement of project controls processes and reporting


Job Requirements



  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required)
  • Experience with project scheduling and/or cost control processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage data, generate reports, and communicate findings effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred


Work Experience



  • Experience in project controls, scheduling, cost control, or related field
  • Experience supporting Project Managers on complex projects preferred
