Position Overview
The Physical Therapist (PT) Outpatient role is a 13-week assignment responsible for evaluating and treating adult patients in an outpatient setting with a variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic conditions, Parkinson's disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), and gait and balance dysfunction. The Physical Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and functional improvement. This position requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage a daily patient caseload efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation in EPIC.

Job Responsibilities




  • Evaluate and treat adult outpatient patients with a variety of neurological and orthopedic diagnoses



  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals



  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility interventions



  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate



  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic medical records



  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care



  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention



  • Maintain productivity standards with a minimum of 9 patient cases per day



  • Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards




Job Requirements




  • Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license required



  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required



  • Minimum of 2 years of outpatient physical therapy experience required



  • Experience treating adult outpatient populations with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses required



  • EPIC electronic medical record experience required



  • First-time travelers accepted



  • Must be able to manage a fast-paced outpatient caseload efficiently



  • Any color scrubs permitted



  • Must be fully vaccinated, including COVID booster, in accordance with facility requirements



  • RTO must be submitted at the time of submission
