Position Summary The Senior Analyst, Operations Strategy & Air Traffic Management, primarily provides operational support to the JetBlue System Operations Center (SOC), specializing in Air Traffic Management (ATM), to enhance data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. This role leverages data, technology, and Air Traffic Management expertise to support JetBlue's overall operational excellence and system efficiency and to address challenges faced by the SOC and the broader National Airspace System (NAS). The position serves as a bridge between the Operations and Planning teams, fostering collaboration to streamline processes, implement scalable solutions, enhance decision-making capabilities, and support a more resilient schedule. The Senior Analyst reports to the Director, Operations Strategy & Engineering, with a direct supporting relationship to the Director, System Operations Strategy & Continuous Improvement. Essential Responsibilities
- Analyze JetBlue's operational performance and assess constraints that impact efficiency.
- Drive the development and adoption of capabilities, dashboards, and decision-support tools to enhance operational efficiency in the SOC and the broader JetBlue operation.
- Partner with and liaise between operating groups to align tactical execution and strategic objectives.
- Act as a key liaison between operational teams and data experts, applying a holistic view to develop and implement policies, strategies, processes, and technologies that address large-scale challenges while aligning with operational reliability and efficiency goals.
- Support strategic planning for JetBlue's operational reliability across multiple teams, focusing on the SOC and ATM impacts.
- Conduct reviews and analyses to support SOC and ATM considerations and risks, building a smarter and more resilient schedule.
- Support SOC Weekly Operations Reviews and continuous improvement efforts, focusing on NAS operations.
- Provide subject matter expertise in operational data, partnering with SOC, Enterprise Planning, IT Products, IT Data, and other stakeholders to ingest and develop insights and support data-driven decision-making from various data sources, including FAA ATO Data and other ATM-related sources.
- Offer expert guidance in addressing ATM challenges, leveraging data to develop operational strategies that enhance resiliency and reliability in the evolving NAS.
- Act as JetBlue's primary participant in the FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Continuous Improvement Process, supporting and steering the joint data-driven review of NAS performance.
- Represent JetBlue in collaborative, operational, and informational forums and work groups with the FAA and industry, leveraging data and ATM expertise.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry and FAA stakeholders while advancing JetBlue's interests.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aviation, mathematics, operations research, computer science, engineering, or a related field OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience.
- Three (3) years of analytical experience in aviation, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in database querying (e.g., SQL), high-level programming languages (such as Python or R), statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Familiarity with FAA systems (e.g., TFMS, TBFM, TFDM, SWIM) and NAS-wide metrics.
- Familiarity with ATM tools and programs (e.g., Aerobahn, Passur, FSM, ESM, SlickOR, Vianair).
- Experience communicating with senior leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical issues assertively and tactfully.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Four (4) years of work experience in aviation or a related field, with progressive responsibility in operational strategy or decision support.
- Two (2) years of work experience at an airline in System Operations, Operations, Network, Enterprise Planning, or a related cross-functional role.
- Strong airline business acumen, including a deep understanding of airline operations, network planning, and strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge and/or experience with best practices across the airline industry.
- Master's degree in aviation, mathematics, operations research, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of NAS operations and the FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO).
- Experience in policy development and technology implementation
- Knowledge of collaborative decision-making practices and airline operations.
- ATP or Dispatch Certificate

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $56,500.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
