Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and technically grounded Agile Lead to guide the delivery and continuous evolution of our global enterprise infrastructure platforms.

Supporting a workforce of 1,500+ employees across multiple Northeast locations, this role sits at the intersection of agile delivery, technical leadership, and hands-on engineering. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure effective agile execution, and actively contribute to designing and building scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions within a Microsoft-centric environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and contribute directly to engineering outcomes, fostering a modern, cloud-first, and endpoint-aware IT ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Agile Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement) to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery
  • Partner with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize infrastructure and platform work aligned to business outcomes
  • Remove impediments and optimize delivery using agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughput)
  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and data-driven insights

Hands-On Engineering Responsibilities

  • Contribute directly to engineering and automation efforts, including:
    • Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
    • CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
    • Azure services (e.g., Entra ID (Azure AD), Storage, App Services)
  • Implement automation for provisioning, patching, configuration management, and backup
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, network, identity, and endpoint layers
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements

Microsoft Platform & Endpoint Management

  • Lead engineering and optimization of Microsoft 365 and endpoint management solutions, including:
    • Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM policies, device compliance, application deployment)
    • Endpoint Manager / MEM and modern device management practices
    • Autopilot provisioning and zero-touch deployment strategies
  • Manage and enhance endpoint security posture using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and security baselines
  • Integrate identity and access controls through Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles
  • Drive lifecycle management of Windows endpoints, including patching, compliance, and user experience optimization

Infrastructure & Platform Delivery

  • Oversee delivery of infrastructure initiatives across Azure, on-prem, and endpoint ecosystems
  • Collaborate with security and architecture teams to ensure alignment with compliance and governance standards
  • Enable self-service infrastructure and endpoint capabilities to improve developer and user productivity

Operational Reliability & Observability

  • Ensure high availability and performance of infrastructure and endpoint services
  • Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response using Microsoft tooling
  • Leverage metrics (MTTR, SLAs, SLOs) to continuously improve reliability and service quality

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a bridge between engineering, architecture, security, and business teams
  • Communicate technical strategies and delivery progress clearly to stakeholders
  • Align teams around Microsoft platform strategy, cloud adoption, and endpoint modernization initiatives


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or IT operations
  • 3+ years leading teams in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Expertise in Intune, Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, and endpoint lifecycle management
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and Zero Trust frameworks
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender suite and endpoint security best practices
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, and observability tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
