A Brief Overview
This position is a hybrid role. Responsible for the centralized oversight, development, tracking, and maintenance of all ACGME and CHOP required Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) and Institutional Agreements (MAAs) across CHOP's graduate medical education programs.

This role ensures institutional and program-level compliance with ACGME Common Program Requirements and specialty-specific requirements governing participating sites and inter-institutional training arrangements. This position serves as a liaison between program leaders, participating institutions/programs, legal counsel, risk management, and GME leadership including the Manager, Director and Designated Institutional Official to ensure timely execution, renewal, and documentation of all required agreements.

What you will do

  • Agreement Oversight and Compliance
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor a centralized database of all active Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) and Institutional Agreements (MAAs)
  • Track agreement effective dates, expiration dates, and renewal timelines.
  • Ensure all PLAs meet ACGME Common Program Requirements and specialty-specific standards.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure alignment between rotation schedules and active agreements.
  • Maintain documentation for ACGME site visits and Annual Update submissions.
  • Agreement Management
  • Coordinate Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) and Institutional Agreements (MAAs) with participating programs and institutions.
  • Work collaboratively with Legal, Risk Management, and clinical leaders to ensure proper review and execution.
  • Ensure required components are present, including:
    * Facilitate updates when program structure, supervision, or educational components change.
    * Duration and content of the educational experience
    * Identification of the faculty responsibilities
    * Teaching and supervision parameters
    * Evaluation processes
    * Duration and renewal terms
  • Program and Institutional Support
  • Serve as subject matter expert to all regarding Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) and Institutional Agreements (MAAs)
  • Provide guidance when new rotations or participating sites are proposed
  • Assist programs in preparing documentation for ADS updates and accreditation reviews.
  • Support institutional review processes involving participating sites.
  • Process Improvement and Standardization
  • Utilize and revise as necessary, standardized agreement templates consistent with CHOP and ACGME requirements.
  • Implement tracking systems and workflow processes to prevent lapse in agreements.
  • Update financial attachments to affiliation agreements to reflect current payment structures where they exist.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Paralegal Studies / Heath Care Administration Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years relevant experience working in Graduate Medical Education Required
  • Previous paralegal training experience Preferred
  • Previous experience drafting, negotiating and preparing contracts Preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$56,890.00 - $71,110.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
