Description

The Program Director of SaferU and SupportingYou leads workforce safety, well-being, and peer support initiatives across UCLA Health, with demonstrated organizational impact. This role provides strategic leadership, program oversight, and expansion of key initiatives that promote a culture of safety, compassion, resilience, and professional accountability across the healthcare workforce.

The Program Director oversees A Safer U, an interprofessional and multidisciplinary program focused on workforce safety, staff well-being, and creating a healthy environment for patients, families, and healthcare professionals throughout UCLA Health. The Director also leads implementation and expansion of the SupportingYou peer-to-peer (P2P) support program, workforce violence prevention initiatives, and organizational learning systems aligned with institutional goals related to workforce well-being, culture of safety, and CiCare principles. In addition, the Director convenes interdisciplinary stakeholders to identify and address operational barriers, workforce concerns, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Serving as the business owner and subject matter expert for workforce safety and peer support initiatives, the Program Director acts as the primary liaison among UCLA Health executive sponsors, interdisciplinary leaders, and frontline teams to ensure alignment and integration of SaferU priorities, workforce violence prevention strategies, and SupportingYou initiatives across UCLA Health and all healthcare professional groups.

Salary Range: $61.54 - $142.77/Hourly

Qualifications
  • Current
    valid CA RN License, required
  • Master's
    Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field, required
  • At least
    3 years of related healthcare experience, required
  • Doctor
    of Philosophy (PhD) Degree Research and Grant Submission, highly desired
  • Previous
    experience leading healthcare workforce programs, particularly from a
    quality-focused perspective, preferred
  • Previous
    experience leading peer support /second victim programs, preferred
  • Professional
    Certification such as CPHQ/CPPS/PMP,
    highly desired
