Overview

PURPOSE

The Regional CFO is responsible for:

- Delivering pro-active financial advice and direction to the GEO Leadership team to ensure that strategic objectives are translated into concrete actions across all GEO business activities.

- Providing timely financial information to the business and works in support by collaborating on GEO business planning activities budgets business cases and revenue and costs forecasts.

- Acting as a Financial partner supporting decision making and providing financial solutions to GEO business challenges. The Regional CFO monitors the GEO revenue sales by and profitability and works with the GEO Leadership Team to address any variance to the budget.

- The oversight of the financial reporting of the legal entities within the GEO (P&L accounts balance sheet and cash flow). He/She ensures the adherence to local Accounting and Tax rules and is responsible for the implementation of the Corporate Accounting and Tax Policies.

- Coordinating main compliance activities (Finance and non-Finance) within the GEO in close collaboration with the other support functions (Legal HR ) in the GEO and at Corporate level. He/She provides support to the GEO Leadership team to understand the Finance compliance activities on the main SITA local entities leads the culture change locally and implements COSO best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide managerial Finance strategic advice direction and support to the GEO Leadership through 5 main areas of expertise (Business Finance, Profitability management, Purchasing activities, Cash collection and Compliance management)
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team (13 to 15 staff) consisting of the GEO Business Finance Purchasing and Cash Collection functions with oversight of the Tax and Accounting team supporting the GEO
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the GEO executive management team
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the GEO management team
  • Responsible for the efficient financial management and local strategy of the overall Finance activities within the GEO including GEO budget management and control of operational costs & revenue
  • Oversee but ultimately own the preparation of budgets the delivery of accurate monthly financial reports and the delivery of consistent and reliable forecasts
  • Interlocking with internal suppliers/ business partners in a matrix environment Ensuring transparency of GEO revenue performance and forecast driven by sales activity
  • Coordinating the collection and reporting of financial and non-financial metrics which define the overall performance of the GEO- Design and deliver financial strategies aligned with the business to improve the P&L performance.
  • Manage and agree a strategy with the GEO Leadership team for the customer contracts with poor profitability
  • Ensure that the GEO Business Approval Board is successfully managed within his/her team and GEO Finance Function provides effective support for the BAB process
  • Drive the implementation and monitoring of project accounting & controlling activities in the GEO (eg Month end closing ) and provide audit support when needed
  • Be responsible for all financial support integration and risk analysis relating to M&A and new business activity in the GEOB/ Purchasing activities
  • Responsible for all GEO purchasing activities linked to cost saving initiatives
  • Ensure that key deals in the sales process have the support from purchasing to obtain cost effective proposals from suppliers
  • Oversee the engagement of the purchasing team to consider alternate suppliers and ensure adherence to the purchasing policy
  • Monitor and drive continuous improvement on Purchase-to-Pay process in the GEOC/ Cash collection
  • Collaborate with the invoice to cash global team servicing regions complete billing provide reporting to support Cash collection KPIs
  • Own the cash collection process in the GEO ensure that corporate credit policies are properly implemented and effective limiting credit risk exposure in the GEO
  • Review and approve the monthly cash collection forecast agree with VP on follow up action & ensure they are implemented )

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

- 10+ years of financial experience including 5+ years in a Financial management regional CFO in a multi-national environment ideally in a High-Tech related industry sector

- Demonstrated orientation towards achieving against bottom line targets

- Strong track record in managing processes / tools improvements

- Experience of managing an international team remotely

- Experience of operating successfully in a dynamic and complex environment

- Experience in managing integration of new acquisitions partnerships and other restructuring requirements assimilation and transition into a BAU operating environment

  • A demonstrable track record in design and implementation of financial strategies across products countries or regions to support the delivery of the GEO Financial Plan
  • Ability to influence decisions at senior management level with good interpersonal skills
  • Good business understanding of the IT and Telecomms Industry and its economic drivers
  • Ability to think strategically across the organization and contribute to the remit of the GEO

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor degree in Accounting Finance or related field of study

- MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification preferred

- Membership of a relevant Finance/Accounting professional accreditation body desirable.
