  • Must have an active driver's license within the state of Louisiana
  • Willing to work in a community based setting
  • board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist, a medical psychologist, or an advance practice registered nurse (APRN) with a specialty in adult mental health in the state of Louisiana

We are seeking Nurse Practitioner to join our team in our Lafayette, LA location.



Earn: $96.15/hour



Position Details


As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals living with chronic mental illness. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage patients' psychiatric needs in a community-based setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine medication needs
  • Document patient assessments and interactions in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Prescribe and manage pharmacologic treatments, including controlled substances
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust medications as necessary
  • Facilitate direct patient admissions to hospitals when appropriate
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to develop coordinated treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, registered nurses, and other care team members
  • Provide community-based services, including traveling to patient locations with team support
