Seeking a Supply Chain Management Projects Business Partner to play a central role in enabling collaboration between business users and SCM services and delivering program contracting requirements. Partner with Business Units, partners, and SCM specialists to develop and implement sourcing strategies for projects and portfolios. Plan and manage SCM activities aligned to project schedules, including early market engagement to secure capacity. Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive SCM plans, addressing workload, materials/services, long-lead items, and RFx requirements. Serve as the primary SCM point of accountability, leading planning, reporting, communication, governance adherence, and risk mitigation. Forecast and manage contracts and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with SCM and enterprise governance standards. Collaborate closely with Contract/Procurement Specialists to resolve complex issues, support new project implementation, and ensure alignment through key engagements.
Who You Are:
University degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is required. Six (6) years of progressively responsible project, commercial, technical business, or equivalent SCM experience is also needed. Excellent influencing and engagement skills with ability to energize others at all levels of the organization. High level of energy, drive, and resilience to successfully navigate and resolve areas of resistance. Excellent presentation, facilitation, and project management skills. Strong contracting background in oil and gas or the energy industry along with audit and compliance experience Experience in collaborating with multiple interested parties, large organizations, and multiple regions to drive common solutions.
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment. Higher-than-normal stress levels due to highly transparent work with strict time constraints. Some travel required (<15%), including visits to project sites, domestic and foreign suppliers, and Enbridge locations. Ability to travel and work on projects throughout Canada and United States. Valid passport is required. Occasionally requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Physical Requirements (Including but not limited to): Grasping and kneeling are required, along with light to moderate lifting of objects up to 20 pounds. Reaching above the shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, and standing are also necessary. You must be able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print, hear well, and sit at a computer for long periods. Mental Requirements (Both field & office) encompass but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
