Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a VP of State Sales to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Vice President of State HHS Sales is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to expand Acentra Health's Health Tech Solutions and Integration Health Solutions portfolio in the State HHS market. This role will focus on driving revenue growth, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful acquisition and retention of State HHS clients.

Acentra Health combines clinical services, technology solutions, and data analytics to accelerate better health outcomes. ***This is a remote position; however, the preferred candidate will be based in the Midwest (IL, KS, MI, OH). This position also requires the ability to travel up to 50% as business needs require***

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and implement comprehensive state account plans and sales strategies to meet company targets for State HHS business growth.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall company growth objectives.
Revenue Growth
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals for the State HHS sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the State HHS market.
  • Work with Operations team to identify cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and track progress through the sales cycle.
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including state Medicaid agencies, HHS agencies, and advocacy groups.
  • Partner with operations to conduct business reviews and identify opportunities for additional sales and service improvements.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Participate in product development discussions to ensure offerings meet Medicaid market needs.
  • Work with finance to develop pricing strategies and contract terms.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Track and report on key sales metrics, including pipeline status, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on progress toward sales goals.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize sales processes.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a business related field OR will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic sales and client management within the State HHS market.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid and HHS programs, regulations, and policy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • This position also requires the ability to travel up to 50% as business needs require***

Experience in Lieu of Degree

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

USD $162,100.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.
