Ecumen Home Care Litchfield is hiring a Staffing Specialist. The Staffing Specialist is responsible for scheduling staff in assigned departments to meet daily staffing requirements. - Schedule: Full-Time M-F 8am-4:30pm 80 hrs bi-weekly - No Weekends & No Holidays
- Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $25.50 - $28.00 per hour depending on years of experience.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains the master schedules and produces the bi-weekly staff schedules for assigned departments. Identifies staffing needs to cover vacations, leaves of absence, open positions, and for team members calling in daily (i.e. team member absences). Proactively reaches out to team members to find shift coverage as needed.
- Processes team member requests for time off, schedule exchanges between team members, and other scheduling requests. Refers team members seeking leaves of absence to third party approver.
- Coordinates and tracks required training for all staff, including scheduling of newly hired team members for orientation.
- Tracks absences and tardiness and notifies People Services when team members are in violation of the Attendance Policy.
- Maintains and monitors overtime usage and provides updates of usage to appropriate management.
- Provides scheduling reports to Payroll Specialist as necessary for bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to communicate effectively including both verbal and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills
- Ability to understand scheduling procedures, including collective bargaining agreements if applicable.
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with staffing/scheduling
- Experience working with seniors
