Position Summary

The Audiologist provides specialized comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services to a diverse linguistic, ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic group of pediatric patients age birth to 21 years in medical center/clinical setting. This is a professional level position that requires clinical skills, data analysis, problem solving, and decision making. The Audiologist serves a large population of patients with multiple disabilities and maintains both internal and external contacts including patient care staff, physicians, and support staff.Responsibilities
*Conducts and interprets diagnostic behavioral testing, auditory brainstem response evaluations, newborn hearing screenings, and hearing technology evaluations using evidence-based practice
*Recommends appropriate hearing technology and follows appropriate monitoring schedule for follow-up care
*Fits and manages hearing aids, bone conduction devices, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices
*Collaborates with multidisciplinary clinics, physicians, and other professionals
*Documents results accurately and makes recommendations based on findings
*Counsels patients and caregivers to ensure understanding of hearing technology, availability of and access to support services, and other hearing healthcare needs
*Participation in team meetings, quality improvement, and community outreach
*Maintains required CEU's
*Participates in quality improvement projects, program development initiatives, and/or clinical research
*Mentors students
Requirements
*Doctoral degree in Audiology through an accredited program
*Board certification in Audiology (ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency or American Board of Audiology (ABA) Certificate)
*CPR certification
*Current Washington State Audiology license
*Minimum one (1) year related experience

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $111,000.00 - $123,400.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
