Position Summary

The Quality Manager leads, implements, and maintains high-level quality strategies across multiple programs and projects, directly linking business goals with operational excellence while scaling the Quality Management System (QMS). In this role, you will design quality frameworks, establish performance metrics, and drive cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, ensuring all deliverables meet strict regulatory requirements and customer satisfaction standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven, and proactive Quality Manager to lead crucial business initiatives, implement continuous improvement, and ensure the QMS is leveraged as a living system to drive business standardization. Operating at the intersection of quality assurance and program management, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive quality programs across project portfolios. With a proactive mindset, you will evaluate operational conditions to identify and mitigate risks that could impact product quality or process stability.

Nature of Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cost of Quality (CoQ) Management: Participate in operational process routing evaluations to define cost-of-quality standards across the product portfolio. Establish quality metrics to identify deviations and evaluate their impact on the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ).
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement proactive frameworks to identify and mitigate operational risks, eliminate redundancies, and prevent reoccurrence. Utilize risk assessment tools like PFMEA across all operational activities.
  • QMS Leadership & Compliance: Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards. Lead monthly Quality Management Reviews (QMR) to evaluate quality indicators and business performance.
  • CAPA & Non-Conformance: Drive rigorous Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) analysis to establish effective, systemic changes in the QMS.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Responsible for executing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) frameworks for the development, launch, and implementation of new programs and products.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Design, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to drive technical manufacturing issues to true root-cause solutions. Manage and resolve all supplier quality issues.
  • Process Optimization: Deploy Lean Six Sigma tools to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, product conditions, and operational throughput.
  • Team Development & Training: Mentor, guide, and upskill the quality engineering team. Serve as the overall owner for all site-applicable training compliance requirements (including ESD, 5S, C-TPAT, Operations, and Repair/Failure Analysis).

Education & Experience Requirements
Education & Certifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Technical, or related scientific field.
  • Required: Internal ISO 9001 auditing experience.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Preferred: ASQ Certifications (CQE, CQM/OE, and/or CRE) and Lead Auditor certification.

Core Experience

  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality engineering and quality management within a manufacturing environment, including a proven track record in a leadership/management role.
  • NPI Expertise: Direct experience leading APQP activities to successfully launch new products.
  • Quality Toolkit: Deep, hands-on mastery of quality tools including process flowcharts, FMEAs, control plans, CAPA, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), 8D, and other AIAG frameworks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, including statistical analysis techniques (Design of Experiments (DOE), DFM, DFSS, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)).
  • Industry Standards: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 systems management. Familiarity with IPC workmanship requirements (IPC-A-610/620) is highly advantageous.
  • Systems & Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace suites.
