Network Engineer

VTG is looking for a Network Engineer based in Chantilly, VA.

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in a data center environment
• Administer and optimize Cisco IOS and/or Cisco NX-OS systems
• Configure and manage VLANs, routing protocols, and network security settings
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure high availability and reliability
• Support and enhance network architecture for hybrid cloud platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable solutions
• Implement best practices for network security, segmentation, and access control
• Document configurations, processes, and network changes

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in network engineering within a data center environment
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and/or Cisco NX-OS
• Proven experience configuring and managing:VLANs
  • Routing (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
  • Network security settings (ACLs, segmentation, etc.)
• • Experience with Cisco implementations, including optimizing network performance and operations
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
