Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden, School of Arts & Sciences, Visual, Media, and Performing Arts ( VMPA) Department, seeks applications for a full time, non-tenure track ( NTT) Assistant Teaching Professor of Music. This is a three year appointment with the possibility of renewal. The teaching load for teaching professors is 4 courses per semester, with possible course releases allowing time for administrative duties.
Position duties include the following:
* Teach undergraduate courses in music such as Music Theory, Musicianship, Music History, and Conducting.
* Coordinate applied music lessons for music majors and musical theater majors and possibly teach applied music lessons in voice and piano.
* Direct the Rutgers Choir.
* Serve as music director for department musical theatre productions.
* Advise and mentor students.
* Perform service to the Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts, the University, and the profession.

Salaries and benefits are competitive. The minimum annual starting salary for this position is $82,110, with actual compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
