Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Tennis attendant assists the tennis professional with pro shop and court maintenance duties. Some knowledge of tennis and pickleball are beneficial. Pro shop duties include taking court and lesson reservations, merchandise sales, maintaining pro shop and locker room cleanliness, setting up player refreshment area. Court maintenance duties include but not limited to brushing and upkeep of clay and hard surface courts along with adjacent court area, other work required to maintain courts in top condition for resort guests and members. This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor. This job description reflects the general responsibilities of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list. Duties and responsibilities may evolve over time based on operational needs. Requirement: High school diploma, some knowledge of tennis and pickleball. Must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license and have an acceptable driving record based on The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's criteria.
Key Skills & Competencies: Ability to work independently in pro shop and courts, communication skills to interact with resort guests, and members. Physical & Environmental Demands: Walking, standing, stooping frequently, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, cold and hot weather outside work during periods of such weather. Typical Schedule: Casual position. On average 30 hours per week, weekends and holidays required. Seasonal work mid-March through mid-December. Our Differences Are What Makes Us Great!
