Description

The Mortgage Business System Analyst serves as the primary liaison between Retail Mortgage Lending, Operations, Compliance, and Empower Administration. Responsible for Business Requirements Developments, Empower release planning, testing, compliant documentation, training updates related to release impacts and or process changes, and workflow optimization.

Below is a list of essential functions of this position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
  • Maintain Empower release planner and coordinate schedules
  • Conduct impact analysis for system releases and product changes
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Update training materials and process guides
  • Maintain compliant documentation and disclosures
  • Maintain Wolters Kluwer release planner and coordinate schedules
  • Troubleshoot Empower issues and manage ticket resolutions
  • Collaborate with Empower Admin on system changes and testing

SEEKS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Mortgage System Business Analyst, should have 3-5 years mortgage lending or LOS experience. Strong understanding of retail mortgage workflows. Experience with BRDs and performing user acceptance testing. Excellent communication skills are imperative. Preferred experience with Empower, Encompass, or Mortgagebot. Some travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential position requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, with related experience and secondary education preferred. A proven knowledge of retail and mortgage lending is required. A background screening will be conducted.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate with clients directly and effectively.
  • TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential position requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. Successful completion of required background checks is required.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

This position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
