Detailed Description:

  • Learn and maintain a high level of technical knowledge within defined drilling applications and associated products.
  • Provide value-added technical services to oil and gas operators to optimize drilling programs.
  • Deliver detailed performance studies to improve drilling efficiency for critical or strategic applications.
  • Use engineering principles and product knowledge to innovate, test, and improve PDC drill bit designs.
  • Communicate new product designs, expectations, and performance results to sales teams and customers.
  • Make application-specific recommendations regarding product standardization or obsolescence.
  • Provide dedicated design engineering support for district-specific requirements.
  • Champion cutter testing and development initiatives within the district.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new customers and new applications within existing accounts.
  • Provide technical support to rig personnel to ensure maximum performance of bit and tool runs.
  • Support the sales team through customer meetings, presentations, and technical application guidance.
  • Present Ulterra product capabilities and application performance to customers and operators.
  • Utilize localized design engineering to grow sales within the ArklaTx district.

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities with advanced computer proficiency.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and customer presentations.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Experience supporting drilling applications or PDC drill bit design and performance.

Additional Details:
This position requires frequent interaction in both office and field environments. Physical demands include bending, stooping, sitting, walking, visual acuity, and hand and finger dexterity. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work may include exposure to active drilling operations and field conditions.
