Essential Functions

* Management of electronics technician staff ensuring compliance in HSE

* Conducts pre-job preparation including reviewing equipment needs with the Service Superintendents in order to schedule all necessary equipment for the job, communicating the job details with the product service line managers, coordinators, service supervisors and the sales team

* Manages the service settings, provides information for job requirements and prepares the Electronics Department for upcoming jobs including pre-mobilization and unit testing

* During the job is responsible for ensuring that electronic department employees are working in a safe manner and in compliance with the Company and client HSE guidelines

* Manages costs and expenditures for the Electronics Department within the assigned district

* Builds and maintains positive relationships with company representatives

* Audits the job packets and returns them to supervisors if necessary

* Conducts post-job review of HSE and Service Delivery improvement opportunities and implements those improvements

* Guarantees customer satisfaction with work performed

* Plans and performs necessary calculations for the total job as needed

* Provides the planning necessary for the services including instructions to the departmental staff and which type of equipment should be used

* Maintains department file and accountability of all electronic equipment through file registration

* Promotes and takes the lead in the service quality and HSE efforts for his department

* Ensures the repair, preventative maintenance and cleanliness of the service equipment are in ready usage

* Evaluates the performance levels of the Electronics Department

* Provides training of supervisors and electronics technicians, improving their job performance

* Conducts root cause analysis on any job problems that may arise conducts accident investigations * May perform basic tasks in the office and facility yard areas on occasion

* Continually emphasize safety. Participate or lead safety meetings, hazard hunts and ensures JSA's are followed. This includes ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

* Know follow and periodically review the requirements established by job policy and procedure. Follow established procedures and guidelines

* Report unsafe acts, conditions or hazards immediately and mitigates them

* Follow instruction given by supervisory personnel

* Possesses an understanding of district goals and works towards meeting those objectives

* Works toward continuous improvement of district operations

* Manages and coordinates all activities within the electronics department and applicable support function department

* Knowledge of company purchasing process and policies

* Takes an active role in assigning mentors to entry and lower-level electronics technicians during repairs

* Requires eligibility to drive company vehicles

* Ensures that all assigned staff participates in all company or customer provided training

* Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor

* Performs the primary thinking called for and encompassed by the overall Position Definition

* Adheres to Company policies and work requirements

* Conducts an annual review of the Position Definition and updates as required\

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

* Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they are able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English; and the ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job related calculations

* Skills required for this position are typically acquired through completion of on-the-job training, schools, and experience

* Must be knowledgeable in scheduling Preventive Maintenance programs, Employee training, days off and vacation schedules

* Must possess complete knowledge of basic hand tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic tools

* Must meet Competency Task List requirements for job role and complete Equipment Maintenance Task List

* Has developed an exceptional skill within the electronics department and a firm understanding of other service functions

* Must have a vast knowledge of sensors used in oilfield electronics, densitometers, viscometers, flow meters, and transducers

* Possesses an understanding of district goals and works towards meeting those objectives

* Knowledge of company purchasing process and policies

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree - preferred

Minimum Required Work Experience

  • 5 years minimum in a related role

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver's license - Required
  • CDL - Preferred
