Overview

The Business Systems Specialist represents the commercial business in its entirety and keeps the interest of the business top of mind when collaborating with IT on system projects and when collaborating with cross-functional teams within the organization. This person also ensures business systems (Microsoft Dynamics ERP, Salesforce CRM, ecommerce) are used effectively and identify, suggest, and implement solutions that help drive the business forward.



Responsibilities

Deliver as Subject Matter Expert (SME) as well as local Business Process Owner (BPO) for the commercial business units including Sales and Customer Experience regarding shared commercial applications.

  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to support employee or customer efficiency and adoption, sustainability improvements, and ensure benefit realizations of new systems and features.
  • Responsible for actively driving the introduction of new processes within the commercial area ensuring accurate implementation
  • Maintains knowledge of system functionality and local changes impacting commercial business processes.
  • Performs system testing of ERP, CRM, ecommerce as needed.
  • Supports creation of training materials and documentation for commercial systems as needed.
  • Responsible for frequent follow up that global or local systems are being followed as intended locally.
  • Responsible for qualifying change requests and building business cases for change requests together with the requester and submitting to Global BPO for approval.
  • Acting as the Global BPO's extended arm and close collaborator.
  • Responsible for explaining and defending Global systems and processes, if required.
  • Acting as a change ambassador by embracing the new ways of working and addressing local resistance.
  • Delivers staff training for new and existing employees in the CE and Sales departments.


Qualifications

  • Education: A BS/BA degree is preferred, ideally in business administration or a closely related field.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: At least 3-5 years of experience demonstrating the ability to independently analyze complex situations and deliver effective solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and proficiency in CRM systems like Salesforce and ERP platforms such as Dynamics NAV/365.
  • Communication: 3-5 years of experience in roles requiring exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management: A minimum of 3 years of experience successfully managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Interpersonal Skills: At least 3 years of experience working in team-oriented environments, demonstrating strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Adaptability and Professionalism: Demonstrates a consistent solutions-oriented mindset and professional composure with 3+ years of relevant experience handling challenges effectively.
  • Industry Experience: 2-3 years of experience in the medical device industry, preferred, with a solid understanding of its regulatory and operational environment.
