Wire Technician

Advantage xPO is now hiring a Wire Technician to join a specialized team focused on electrical assembly for the railroad signaling industry. If you have experience in electronics, wiring, or blueprint reading, this is your chance to build a career in a growing field with stable hours, great benefits, and hands-on work.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $20 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time | Overtime Eligible

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in electrical wiring, cable assembly, or electronics work
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and signal design prints
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform tasks in a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with railroad signal components and equipment is preferred
• Associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or related technical field preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, wire, and install a variety of electrical equipment used in railroad signal systems, including:
  
  
  
  • Signal enclosures
  • Wayside signals
  • Switch machines
  • Meter services
  • Power distribution units
  
  
  
  
• Interpret and follow electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate and safe assembly
• Perform layout and installation of backboards, signal gates, lighting systems, meter poles, and identification tags
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring full compliance with safety standards and quality procedures

Work Environment:

• Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing and wiring facility with limited climate control
• May require overtime and occasional weekend shifts based on project demands
