Why This Role Matters
The Branch Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in supporting the daily operations of the branch while delivering exceptional member service. This position leads by example-balancing hands-on member transactions with operational oversight, team guidance, and sales support. By ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and strong team performance, the Branch Supervisor helps drive branch success and member satisfaction.
What You'll Do
Member Service & Sales Support
- Provide exceptional service by processing financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and other account services accurately and efficiently.
- Identify member needs and recommend appropriate Credit Union products and services to support financial wellness.
- Serve as a resource for escalated member concerns and resolve issues within authority, referring complex matters to management as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, promotions, and consumer trends.
Operational Oversight
- Reconcile and balance cash drawers and vault operations; oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in daily balancing.
- Monitor daily branch activities to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining accurate member records and proper documentation within systems and physical files.
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews by addressing and correcting operational exceptions.
Team Leadership & Development
- Support the Branch Manager in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching branch staff
- Provide day-to-day guidance to team members, reinforcing service standards and operational expectations.
- Identify performance concerns and recommend corrective or developmental actions.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages accountability and teamwork.
Lending & Decision Support
- Gather member information, complete applications, and support consumer lending processes in coordination with credit operations.
- Communicate lending decisions to members, explaining terms clearly and professionally
- Ensure loan documentation and adverse action requirements are completed accurately and timely.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve branch efficiency, workflows, and service delivery.
- Participate in sales development initiatives and contribute to achieving individual and branch goals.
- Support achievement of branch performance metrics related to service, growth, and operational effectiveness.
Who You Are Experience & Education
- Three to five years of similar or related experience in retail banking, financial services, or branch operations.
- High school diploma or GED required
