The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages its array of engineering disciplines against a broad and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities. As a core component of the Mission Operations Subdivision within EED, the Emerging Missions Flight Dynamics Department provides flight mechanics expertise for multi-domain effects supporting our broad customer base. Our department specializes in atmospheric flight, cislunar mission design, and multi-objective spacecraft maneuver strategies. We are looking for an Associate Director to help provide strategic vision and project leadership for burgeoning customer bases, corporate priorities, and department growth areas. Core government customers include Golden Dome for America, Missile Defense Agency, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, NASA, and the Intelligence Community. Furthermore, opportunities exist to partner on efforts with technically adjacent fields, such as fluid mechanics, missile warning and tracking, and multi-disciplinary design of re-entry vehicles. Work Model This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO with the expectation that the selected candidate will work a minimum of 4 days per week onsite, as the business needs allow. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
