Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity through the appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential issues and/or support site rules and procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, help to verify authorized access, and provide directions or assistance as needed while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions.
• Support public-facing operations by observing for suspicious behavior, assisting during emergencies and/or evacuations, and communicating with local contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Security experience of 1+ years is required.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
