Flammability Engineer 3/4 Location
US-NM-White Sands Test Facility, Las Cruces
Overview Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This position will be located at NASA's White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, NM supporting the Materials and Components Laboratory's Flammability group. EOE/Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran Responsibilities Engineer or Scientist sought to support design, build, and testing of oxygen systems within the Materials Components and Testing Department.
Conducts material flammability testing per NASA-STD-6001, or non-standard conditions, in gaseous oxygen environments. Testing could involve a variety of test methods, temperatures, pressures, and test configurations.
Qualifications Requires an Engineering or Bachelor's degree and 5-15 years of related work experience. Desired skills/experience are;
