This position is based inDurham, NC and offers a hybrid schedule (50% onsite, 50% remote) with an every-other-Friday-off schedule (9/8/80). Generous relocation package included for the right candidate.
As Director Global Organization Design and HR M&A and PMI, you will shape how the business is organized to deliver on strategy and ensure that mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations are executed smoothly - with minimal disruption and maximum value. You will act as a strategic advisor and hands-on leader for organizational design and integration initiatives across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Design Strategy, Governance, and Implementation
- Design andoptimizeorganizational structures to align with business strategy, ensuring clarity in roles and decision-making.
- Conduct organizational health diagnostics and model structures using data and visualization tools to inform decisions and improve efficiency.
- Maintain andcontinue to refineorganizational design principles and support smooth transitions during restructures, offering data-driven recommendations for improved agility and accountability.
- Serve as an internal consultant on business transformations, helping HR and leaders navigate structural changes and supporting operating model shifts.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)and Post-MergerIntegration(PMI)
- Design andmaintaina playbook for HR teams for use duringmergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, risk assessment, and integration of structures, culture, and systems to ensure seamless transitionsaligned with the strategies and processes defined by the relevant COEs.
- Act as a consultant and guide to internal HR teams going through the due diligence, merger/acquisitionor integration processesor the COEs designing processes to support these activities.
- Develop HR competenciesoverallin Mergers & Acquisitionsin the high activity countries.
- In the case of a major global acquisition, maylead HRworkstreamsthrough the due diligence and integration activities, aligning structures, culture, and systems with clear roadmaps.This includes but is not limited to:
- Providing tools to ensureorganizationalstructureharmonization and talent selection while driving leadership alignment and culture integration during transitions.
- Planningand executingcommunications across impacted populations, partnering with Communication and Change Management teams.
- MonitoringKPIs for successful integration andconductpost-integration reviews for continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Organization Psychology, or a related field required;
- or a High School diploma/GED with five (5) years experience in Organizational Design and Mergers, Acquisitions and PMIs
- 8+ years in HR or organizational design roles, including 5+ years experience in M&A and post-merger integration.
- Including proven track record of supporting organizational design and transformation projects in complex, global environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise inorganizational modeling, workforce planning, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of HR due diligence and integration processes in M&A.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, withabilitytoinfluence atsenior levels.
- Familiarity with change management methodologies and tools.
- Global Mindset: Ability to manage cross-border projects and adapt strategies to diverse cultural contexts.
- Fluency in English isrequired
The estimated salary range for this role based in North Carolina is between $174,800 - 210,000. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
