**PENDING CONTRACT AWARD**
The Engineering Aide at the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR) will support engineering teams through a variety of tasks and responsibilities crucial to project success. This position performs a myriad of important functions that help streamline engineering processes and ensure that projects run efficiently and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Works closely with Test Planning and Management engineers, takes on tasks that range from administrative support to hands-on involvement in project planning and execution * Assists Test Planning and Management engineers in designing, testing, and maintaining systems and equipment * Collects and analyzes data, prepares reports and presentations * Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and performs tests as directed * Organizes and maintains engineering documents and records * Provides technical support to other departments as required * Assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment * Provides general administrative support to the engineering team as needed * Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications
* An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in any field or discipline * Three (3) years of experience in a professional work environment * Experience working collaboratively as a member of a project team * Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills, essential for success in a T&E team environment * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety * Demonstrated ability to use common laboratory equipment and tools * Proficiency in data entry and basic data analysis
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
* Prior experience working in a laboratory or field-test environment or with the concepts of T&E * Familiarity with engineering standards and tools
Physical Qualifications
* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment * Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time * Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time * Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted * Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities
Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements
